  • Everybody these days talks about how terrible the state of hiphop is. The beats all sound the same and the lyrics lack lyrical punch. Well,…its true!!, depending on where your looking from.

Hip-hop IS DEAD, but this article will explain WHY and, more importantly, will show you HOW to resurrect your love for this “lost art” without having to put illmatic [and other classics] on repeat every single day.

    Why Hip Hop Is Dead

Its simple, for most hiphop heads, Here’s why hip-hop is dead. We’re LAZY!!

Even in the old days, when you wanted to hear good hiphop, it was all about looking in the right places and reading the right magazines, like XXL and The Source. Well, nothing has changed! If we tune in to the radio and commercial music stations and hear wack hip hop, it doesn’t mean it’s dead, it means we’re not looking hard enough!!

    MONEY

The music we hear that makes us lament our lost art form is created for one main reason…MONEY! That’s why all those beats sound the same, their playing to the formula that sells records. This has watered down hip hop in general so much its silly! But where is the room for creativity when theres a tested method for getting rich, if It aint broke don’t fix it, right??

    Moan or Take Action?

We can continue to moan about it, or we can start getting proactive. If you wanna fall in love with hiphop again start checking out new material, and look in the right places
